The R4 DS media cartridge is an unofficial device made by R4 that allows Nintendo's DS console to be used as a hand-held media library for videos, MP3 music files and home-brew (fan-made) software and emulators. The cartridge works by using a MicroSD card for storage, which can be inserted into a PC using an SD card reader included with the device. Step 5

How to Get to a Web Browser on R4 DS

Step 1

Plug the MicroSD card into the USB adapter. Insert the adapter into your PC.

Step 2

Download the DSHobro zip file (see Resources). Extract the contents of the file to your PC's desktop.

Step 3

Open the DSHobro folder. Drag the DSHobro.nds file to your MicroSD card.

Step 4

Run the server.exe file in the DSHobro folder. Tweak any settings you wish and click "Start." If you wish to use DSHobro from a WiFi hotspot, check the box next to "Enable Remote Access."
